| The art of teaching yoga requires sensitivity, compassion, and practice. A teacher must encourage, inspire and address the needs of the individual as well as those of the group. Through a variety of teaching modalities including, journaling, group discussions, practice teaching, and partner work, students will be able to participate in a wide variety of teaching activities where learning is achieved through the discovery of experiential knowledge. This course format encourages students to discover their own inner wisdom and guides them in learning to convey this wisdom when teaching. In addition, students will be encouraged to develop the discipline of self study. A diverse selection of books have been chosen to help students develop introspection and deepen there own study of yoga. You will be given assigned readings to complement the lectures, and homework assignments to assist self exploration.
